AC Milan are interested in signing Andreas Christensen on a free transfer when his contract with Chelsea expires, according to a report.

According to Fichajes in Spain, Atletico Madrid are the latest team to enter the running for Christensen because he would be a quality reinforcement on a free transfer, he knows how to play in a three-man defence having learnt under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and he has the projection to be one of the best in the world if he ends up developing more under Diego Simeone.

The 25-year-old has experience in the Bundesliga as well as in the Premier League, having won the Champions League with Chelsea last season, and all of the above is why a number of top European clubs are also circling.

Milan are keen as per the report but so are Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund with all four having enquired about his situation with his agents. Chelsea are struggling with Christensen’s renewal as well as those of César Azpilicueta and Antonio Rüdiger, but in the end the Dane could still extend.
