Chukwueze, Cisse, Comotto, and Gila: Video compilations from Celtic-Milan

Several players got the chance for AC Milan in their 2-2 draw against Celtic, and as a result, there are quite a few compilations to take a look at.

Ruben Amorim made sure to make the most of the friendly, fielding a total of 23 players. The only constant was Lorenzo Torriani, who remained the goalkeeper for the entire game. Anyway, as you can tell, we got to see a lot of players.

We gave our verdict on each of these in our player ratings after full-time, but it’s perhaps worth taking a second look at some of them. The account @c0mpmilano on X has made compilations for four players, which you can find below.

Samuel Chukwueze

It was an electric performance from the winger, constantly causing issues for the Celtic defence. He also got the assist for Francesco Camarda’s 2-2 goal, finding the striker with a lovely outside-of-the-boot cross.

Let’s hope he continues like this, because then he will definitely be a good weapon for the upcoming season. Milan and Amorim have already made it clear that they are willing to keep him, so everything is in his hands this summer.

Alphadjo Cisse

The youngster got 14 minutes, but those minutes were definitely encouraging. He played with a confidence and sense of belonging that is rare for a player of his age, but it also goes to show why he was so praised in Serie B last season.

It would be interesting to see him get some more minutes next time, but since he recently returned from injury, it makes sense that Amorim eased him into it.

Mario Gila

We said it in the ratings and the video below clearly shows it: he’s very aggressive and also has the right pace to accompany that. It’s probably best to give him the spot to the right with that in mind, rather than playing him in the centre.

Of course, it’s a shame that he had to leave the game early. The tests carried out this morning ruled out an injury, but he does have a muscle strain. A little rest is thus on the cards for the Spaniard.

Christian Comotto

The youngster has a lot of potential and, like Camarda, could perhaps remain with the first team for this season. That said, he perhaps could have done a bit more yesterday to stand out, even if the video shows a decent performance.

At this time, a loan appears likely but a lot will depend on the upcoming friendlies. There is quite a lot of competition in midfield, after all.

  1. I think Chuk and Gila did well! Cisse need 1 or 2 more year loan for sure. Comotto did fine enough. I only base this on these clips. Didn’t see the match.

  2. Cisse is an LW forward, and he was predominantly playing in the middle, which is not his position. Amorim has a bad habit of doing this. He always will try to put players in positions they have not played.

    1. Are you sure about that? According to Transfermarkt, he is not a left winger but can play (exactly) everything in the (center of the) midfield.

  3. Cisse is a generational talent. At the Italian youth level everybody knows that. Provided he manages to avoid injuries like the serios one he just come back from he will play lots of minutes.
