Chukwueze reveals his wish for Osimhen to sign for Milan

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has admitted that he would love it if Napoli striker Victor Osimhen were to join him at the San Siro this summer.

Speaking during his long interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the Nigerian winger spoke about his compatriot Osimhen who faces a very uncertain future at Napoli.

There has been no suggestion that Milan will sign Osimhen given Aurelio De Laurentiis is sticking to the €120m release clause as the valuation, but that doesn’t mean that Chukwueze wouldn’t like to see his friend arrive in the team.

The former Villarreal man explained that he has been doing his bit to bring Osimhen to the club but it has not worked out yet, whilst talking about who the fastest players with the ball are in Serie A.

“Who is faster between me and Rafa [Leao]? Without the ball, him. With the ball, me. Leao is one of the top three in Serie A and between the other two there is my friend Osimhen, who I hope stays in Italy. Where will Osimhen go? I would like to close my eyes, open them again and see him here at Milan. I always say to him ‘Are you sure you don’t want to come?’. And he says: ‘Samuel, you know it’s difficult’,” Chukwueze said.

Osimhen has been left out of four Napoli friendlies this summer and Antonio Conte would like Romelu Lukaku to join, but Osimhen has to leave first.

There was serious interest in Osimhen from Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain but no club is willing to meet the release clause, which leaves the player stuck.

There is a chance that the situation will come to a very ugly end.

  1. that wouldnt happen but would be happy cuz osimhen is over 100 mil even the crazy moneyspender psg didnt want to pay that amount for osimhen

  2. We all want Osi, brah. Unfortunately it’s nigh impossible. Maybe if tom cruise was in the management then it could be done

    1. Tom Cruise’s net worth isn’t even close to what our club is worth, Cardinale has grown the club from a 700m operation to where we’re sitting at $1.4b at the moment. 3 seasons in a row the fastest growing club in the World, we used to be behind inter and west ham in valuation. They now sit well behind us in 18th in the world while we’re at 14th. We’re a tiny bit behind Atletico right now and not far off Juventus in 11th. So no, Tom Cruise wouldn’t be able to afford anything near owning a club like ours. Maybe Sassuolo or Genoa yes.

      1. have u seen any Tom Cruise movies bro? they are awesome, some will say they were impossible to make… mission impossible😜😂

  3. If our owners are serious this signing can make all the difference. This is marketing also, increasing your chances by ridiculous amount in every competition and finally showing fanbase that you are serious. @Gerry

But yeah he will go to PSG for oil money…

      1. Sane is keeping books in balance and generating profit, as well as marketing and networking for his main company. That’s the sane part, serious would be about all his talk about wanting to win with Milan.

If we get Fofana and Osi, idc then who stays between Adli-Pobega and who comes at RB. Our team would be way stronger than any Italian team, including Inter. Imagine just adding a +20 goal scorer to our wingers…

        1. Agree to disagree… Im in agreement with u that Gerry need to back up his words but it is not the way to go, to pay 120mil for a player. He needs to keep the core players(extend Teo and Mike)in order to prove that he is serious about winning not to burn money like it’s toilet paper. Just my 5 cents

    1. No it can’t make all the difference. Juve cashed out on Vlaho. What difference did that make and what did they win for their €€ troubles ?

  4. Neither PSG nor Chelsea are planning to pay Osimhen release clause that is 130 mil, but after Mbappe announced that he is leaving PSG, some people thought that PSG will pay 175 mil for Leao.
Chelsea isn’t even interested in Osimhen after they signed Omorodion.
Osimhen might end up staying at Napoli. De Laurentiis should have sold him last summer after his one and only good season in serie A.

  5. I hope he goes to Chelsea and flops like every player that goes there and we get him for semi cheap after 1-3 seasons and plays very good like every other Chelsea player we bought

    1. First of all, Chelsea never did anything to Milan worth wishing all their players to flop. That’s some. Next level hater stuff.
Second of all not ALL players that has gone to Chelsea’s has flopped. Get your facts right.
They are in a period of rebuilding and when that is done, at least their team would be good.

        1. Whats with the unnecessary racist comment?

Clearly you are a complete fool

Osimehn – in his prime and a world class striker

Morata – a solid journey man, not a goal machine

  7. Now we’ve signed Morata we won’t be in for another “first choice” striker for at least 2 seasons.

Osimhen (when fit – he’s very injury prone) is an outstanding striker but I’d imagine players of that expense in transfer fee /wages are out of our financial capability for the foreseeable future.

  8. I can only imagine the conversation on the phone.
Milan: Hey, we heard that Osimhen is available for sale. How much do you want to sell him?
Napoli: Yeah, he want to move. We have received several offers around 80 mil. But we want to get 120 mil, fair price. Or for you, I can let him go for 80 mil plus Bennacer. What you say?
Milan: Hmmm, it is over our budget tbh. And we think since he wants to leave, we can only offer you 25 mil. Additionally, we can give Ballo Toure and Origi, two hidden gems. Do we have a deal?
Napoli: (end the call and blocking Milan’s phone number)
    Just a joke guys… 😀

  9. Man U signed Zirkzee, to pay in instalments for 3 years.

I wish we could sign Osimhen 80-90m to pay in 2-3 years. Would be serious statement by the management.

Or Gyökeres 70-80m for 2-3 years would also have been great.

We need some creativity I guess.

I’m indifferent about the Morata deal, he has a lazy way of playing which can be annoying, but not withstanding, he finds a way to score goals.

And Chiesa: JUST SIGN HIM ASAP. WE WILL FIGURE HIM OUT LATER.

Fofona? Why haven’t we signed him yet??

    1. everything is paid in amortisation brah. nobody cashes out the amounts you see in the news…

and for chiesa, sure we can sign him. just fork up his salary each season.6M net will cost you abot 12M gross…
