Alphadjo Cisse’s mother has revealed the family’s emotions after watching their son score his first ever competitive goal for AC Milan.
Ruben Amorim’s era started in the best possible way with 2-1 win away from home against Torino. Cisse was the one who scored the first goal of the Serie A campaign for Milan, and the teenager has been enjoying his time in the spotlight since.

Amorim revealed in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game that he ‘loves’ Cisse, the forward acquired last January from Hellas Verona after having shone one loan at Catanzaro, before the injury that ended his season prematurely.
Cisse’s father Sanoussy is a factory worker, while his mother Habibatout is a waitress at a hotel in Venice. She told Ilnordest.it how special Sunday evening was, with her comments relayed by MilanVibes.
“It was a tremendous emotion, my heart was pounding. My husband only watched the first half on TV with friends, and then he couldn’t take it anymore. We didn’t see the goal live, we were too nervous,” she said.
“My husband sat in front of the TV for the first half, then we watched another channel together. I hadn’t even dreamed of watching the game. I was too nervous, but I did check my phone every now and then. My daughter was working, while Karamba, the youngest, was out and enjoyed it all.”

On the video call with Alphadjo at the end of the match, Habibatou added: “He was smiling and laughing the whole time. His dad was also on the phone, and his brothers joined in via video conference.
“He has always loved football. At two years old, he would run around the house with the ball and break windows. Pogba was his idol, but he supported AC Milan and dreamed of Serie A. Yes, since he was little, he said he wanted to make progress. He’s succeeding.”
Now the family will be able to keep their promise to go see Alpha live: “It happened in Verona, but also in Catanzaro. It was nerve-wracking, but it was a wonderful feeling. Just as beautiful was the one for his first goal for AC Milan. Even though we saw him later.
“We don’t know when he’ll be back home, but I promise I’ll go and follow him to the stadium during the year. I did it in Catanzaro, Milan is definitely closer.”
