Il Cittadino: Milan trying to buy 40,000m square plot of land in San Donato

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing ahead with their plans to build not only a new stadium but an entire area that will become the club’s own, a report claims.

The area of San Donato is the current favourite to house a new stadium for Milan for many reasons such as accessibility and the ease at which agreements could be reached.

The latest development came earlier this month, stating that in September the Milan leaders should present their project to the Council of San Donato and thus to the whole city.

This morning’s edition of the newspaper Il Cittadino (via Francesco Nasato) reports that Milan are trying to buy the entire plot of land surrounding the San Francesco area.

They could soon open negotiations with the Business District Consortium for the purchase of the land which totals about 40 thousand square metres.

It is a further sign that the Rossoneri do not just have a new stadium in mind, but the creation of a ‘Milan village’ of sorts with new club headquarters, bars, restaurants, offices, hotels and more.

  1. New casa milan in san donato. Sounds good. It is better if they build new training ground too with modern technology
