Gigio Donnarumma looks set to remain at AC Milan, despite recent rumours suggesting otherwise. The youngster has been one of the Rossoneri’s most important players in the last few years, performing on a very high level.
Just this morning, SportItalia reported that Donnarumma has rejected the club’s latest renewal offer of €7m per year. That would be a €1m pay rise for the goalkeeper, although knowing Mino Riola (his agent), the negotiations most likely won’t end there.
However, according to Calciomercato.com, Milan are determined to reach an agreement with Donnarumma and Raiola, as their decision remains to lock down the player. Then again, there is no rush on the matter as the current deal expires in 2021.
The Rossoneri will sit down with all the parties in the spring, per the report, discussing the details of the renewal. In other words, there shouldn’t be any reason for the Milan fans to worry, at least for the time being.
