CM: AC Milan-owned defender rejects offer from Fiorentina – the details

By Isak Möller -

Diego Laxalt, who is still owned by AC Milan, could switch teams before the transfer window ends this evening. However, could is the keyword, as the Uruguayan isn’t too keen on leaving Torino for a short-term project.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, the Uruguayan defender was requested by Fiorentina who – after the rejection of Criscito – returned to the market for a left-back.

The problem, however, is that the former Genoa man doesn’t want a six-month loan. As the report states, if he has to leave Torino, then he will only do so for a longer period. In other words, he hasn’t warmed up to the Fiorentina track.

Last summer, Laxalt moved to Torino on the basis of a €500K paid loan with an option to buy set at €11.5m. With Fiorentina, though, an agreement wasn’t reached and thus the defender will remain at Torino, at least for now.
