CM: AC Milan turn to the defence; Maldini prepares blitz for Barcelona man

Having completed the Ibrahimovic signing, thus adding reinforcement to the attack, it’s now time for AC Milan to accelerate on the defensive front. The Rossoneri have chosen Jean-Clair Todibo as their plan A.

According to Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, Maldini is personally carrying out the operation with Barcelona, as contacts with Ramon Planas and Eric Abidal are constant. Milan’s first offer is valued at around €15m.

The Spanish side, on the other hand, are asking for €20m as well as the inclusion of a buy-back clause. The distance is there and the Rossoneri are trying to figure out the right strategy to convince Todibo and his agent to give them a priority, per the report.

At Casa Milan, they are aware that a blitz will be needed in the next few days to secure the signing. As the report continues, there is great competition in the race, as Bayer Leverkusen are also interested.
