CM: Adli’s Milan fate sealed following length conversation with Pioli

By Oliver Fisher -

Despite the many rumours that have circulated regarding the future of Yacine Adli, he is set to remain at the club and become of use to Stefano Pioli.

Calciomercato.com report that although Adli was only used for a handful of minutes last season, the Franco-Algerian midfielder never considered the option of leaving Milan because he was convinced that his chance would come.

The former Bordeaux star worked well during the summer and also convinced in a different role, namely that of being the regista in front of the defence, and then a discussion with Pioli sealed his date.

At the end of yesterday’s training session, the Milan head coach spent a long time with Adli, showing him renewed trust and approval for what he showed in the role of deputy to Krunic.

This confirms our exclusive from a couple of weeks ago which stated that Pioli had changed his mind about trying to offload Adli and instead wants to keep him because he considers him a useful squad player.

No last-minute surprises are expected and therefore Adli will remain at the club for the next few months at least, despite the interest from Salernitana and Lille among others.

  1. Even when up 4-1, Pioli didn’t give him a run. Poor guy, I would like to see him play with the other starters for at least a few minutes.

    1. man stfu we have 9 new players , u idiots want him to try everything in 2 games, we win our games u guys nag about pioli not using players, childish idiotic fans

      1. Dude we have a sizable lead, give the man a run instead of letting him rot on the bench. We have 5 subs available and regista is our weakest position. Are you upset because your mom woke you up early for school?

        1. and he used all 5 subs and used musah, u want him to sub Adli for krunic and change the whole midfield so children like you will be happy, this is not fifa on ps, what sizable lead we were up 3-1 when he subbed 4 players already, 1 goal from torino wld have made the rest of the game way complicated , but of course you read the game better , grow the f up rotting on the bench, we are only two games in and the priority is for the new players since they dont have serie A experience, we are winning and playing football that exceeded all of our expectations, just be happy and support the team instead of nagging like children, adli is a fantastic player, he will get his chance

          1. We’re going onto season 2, when will he get his chance? You said he’s a fantastic player, but if he replaced Goat Krunic it would change the whole midfield? Your logic doesn’t make sense.

Also, if you think 3-1 against that bumass Torino squad isn’t a safe lead, then this squad has some serious issues.

Against Bologna, our regista had a yellow too and wasn’t subbed either. Instead Pobega came on for RLC.

Your responses are very emotional, chill with the soy

          2. @Kaka, who cares? Is Adli really THAT important? People act like he’s the second coming of Seedorf or something. If he was, he’d be getting time. Trust me.

          3. Who cares? We purchased a young player and refuse to give him even a minute to see what he can do with the starters. If he’s going to stay, why is it okay to have a player rot on the bench. And if you don’t care about Adli, why you reading and commented on an article about him?

          4. @Kaka, I read the article because it deals with the AC Milan squad because I care about AC Milan, and thus all players on the squad are fair game. We bought Adli because he was a relatively cheap investment, and apparently not a great one. Another M&M gift. As such, he finds himself where he finds himself. There are better players ahead of him and the team’s goal is to play their best players and achieve results. Otherwise, we should never sign anyone and just be promoting every primavera player that turns 18 to “see what he can do” but be prepared to fight relegation. The cream usually rises to the top.

      2. Getting Musah, Chuk and Okafor is more important. Then 2 subs were used for already booked Thaiw and Theo. So no chance for Adli.

        1. forget about it man, his childish mentally wont let him understand, zero football knowledge , he doesn’t get it that new players need minutes to be integrated in the team and the whole league,

          1. Pobega was a new player who needed minutes against Bologna, right? If we’re going by the yellow card logic, why wasn’t it followed in that game either? Will Adli ever get minutes with the first team to get integrated?

    2. Dude, relax.

We still have 36 match in the league, 6 match if not more in CL, and 1 match if not more in Copa. So relax. Adli will play.
