CM: Adli expected to regain starting spot against Udinese

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is now expected to use Yacine Adli instead of Rade Krunic for tomorrow night’s game at San Siro against Udinese, a report claims.

Adli rose to prominence while Krunic was out injured for just under a month, producing a number of encouraging displays playing in an adapted role as a deeper-lying playmaker rather than his usual mezzala or No.10 position.

However, Krunic’s return has seen him face a tough battle to get back into the side, though rotation is natural given the amount of games that come thick and fast between now and the new year.

According to Calciomercato.com, Adli’s ‘first great success’ of the season is ‘finally becoming an asset for Milan’ after a summer in which it seemed almost certain that he would be sold or loaned out.

Now he has become a true resource for the midfield, and one that Pioli intends to use against Udinese from the first minute over Krunic, in view of the PSG match on Tuesday.
