CM: Adli to undergo medical ahead of €7m move – why Milan agreed to loaning him back

AC Milan have reportedly sealed a deal for Bordeaux midfielder Yacine Adli via an interesting formula that has now been explained.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan’s sporting director Frederic Massara has reached a total agreement with Bordeaux for Yacine Adli after a long and difficult negotiation with the Ligue 1 club, who did not want to lose their 21-year-old talent.

A deal was struck on the basis of an €8m fixed fee plus bonuses and the player is already on his way to Italy to undergo his medical and the signing of the contract, with touchdown in Italy scheduled for the afternoon.

The news gathered in the last few hours is that the midfielder will stay at Bordeaux on loan for a season. Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com adds that there is a reason they agreed to the loan: Milan will save €7m compared to the first requests of Bordeaux and the loan allows the player to have more continuity at his current team.
