Sofyan Amrabat is expected to have to find a new club this summer and AC Milan have been linked with a move, but a new report has cooled things somewhat.
As Calciomercato.com report, the dream of establishing himself in the Premier League with the Manchester United shirt has already vanished for Amrabat. The Moroccan midfielder has struggled for playing time since joining them, and it seems his days at Old Trafford are numbered.
United paid €9m to Fiorentina for just the loan fee but they have now decided not to exercise their option to buy which is set at €20m with €5m in bonuses. Amrabat has been well below expectations, so much so that in the last two months he has been nearly frozen out.
Now, the former Verona star will return to Florence only in passing because his time with La Viola can now be considered over. Due to his characteristics he could be the midfielder that Milan will be looking for in the summer, but they are not fully convinced and are looking at other names.
However, Juventus could try for him because their director Cristiano Giuntoli is a big admirer. The assessments mainly focus on how to set up the negotiation because Juve want a loan, but Amrabat would first have to renew his contract expiring in 2025.
Another path leads to an exchange with Arthur who is doing well with Fiorentina but he has a very high salary for a club like them. Amrabat, for his part, would be open to the idea of joining Juventus.
No thanks. Just not that good of a player. Will probably end up back in some lower ranked Serie A team.
Moving to MU destroy his career. Good for competition in ACM midfield but only if Fiorentina want accept loan 5m euro with buy option 20m euro . Cannot waste any transfer fund in summer due to ACM need striker
There’s a big hole to plunge in the middle of the park so buying a true DM which we lack since Kessie left, is by no means a waste of funds. Not sure if Amrabat is that guy.
A true 6 is an absolute priority for the midfield. Agree with you, Ted.
You want to pay 5m loan and 20m option for someone that has 1 year left on his fiore contract? Who isn’t even playing well presently? I wonder how you guys would manage your business if you’d even have any
Fiorentina will accept 15ml + 3ml bonus milan must take this chance and bring amrabat
Yeah this guy isn’t worth 15 or 20 million with one year left.
If milan decides to spend 100ml on amrabat i will be happy because i know in the end we will get bad*ss player
Bald Krunic (not too bad tbh), if we can get him for around 10-15M it’d be a good deal
Let him join Jube if he wants.
