CM: Arsenal want €40m for one of Milan’s ‘dream’ attacking targets

By Oliver Fisher -

Arsenal have set a minimum asking price for striker Folarin Balogun while waiting for offers to arrive, according to a report.

There has already been a lot of speculation about the future of Balogun after a season out on loan at Stade de Reims in which he bagged 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games, meaning he was behind only Kylian Mbappe, Jonathan David and Alexandre Lacazette in the goalscoring charts.

A number of clubs have been linked with the USA international with a variety of different asking prices mentioned, but the latest update has come from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com (via Twitter).

The journalist says that Arsenal want a minimum of €40m to sell the 22-year-old this summer, and they will obviously be hoping for an auction to erupt.

The latest report from Sky last night stated that Balogun is Milan’s ‘big dream’ for the attack along with David of Lille, but the high asking price makes things difficult.

  1. The prices are ridiculous. He’s had one good season and that makes him worth 40 million? It’s a big risk paying that much for him. I wouldn’t pay anymore than 25 million.

    1. David will most likely cost 60-65 mil, pretty sure the club owner said he wouldnt be sold for less than 60 mil.

  2. Arsenal have already refused a £50 million pound offer for the 21 year old international 20 goal a season player. I think it would cost around £60 million plus addons to persuade Arsenal to sell him! If Arsenal decide to keep him for another season and extend his contract and he reproduces the form shown in france, i think his values may be in excess of £100 million. I think Milan should buy Harry Kane for £85 million, a proven 20 goal a season player, and less of a gamble.

    1. I think Milan need to find someone in the range of 20-25 Milion and let him grow along side Giroudt. No need on going and spending on a striker that kind of money not knowing if he can replciate the same at Milan. That has happened to almighty Torres and few others let alone this kid… Not saying he is not good but it’s a big gamble. Harry is overpriiced and old, good player but we are looking into the future not another one that retires in 2 years

  3. I’d rather Hoijlund if going to spend that much on an unproven striker. Tho the young Dane is probably joining Man Utd.

  4. get Elye Wahi, He is a complete striker, he dribbles, scores, assist, does overhead kick, runs faster than flash can also play on the wings. He a breast!!!

  5. Milan will not pay more than 30 million euros for any attacker in this world! After a few acquisitions in midfield, probably not that much. Finished story.
