CM: Escape route emerges as Milan full-back says yes to Saint-Etienne – the latest

Fode Ballo-Toure’s future is one of the puzzles that the AC Milan management are looking to try and solve, but a report has suggested that a solution might not be far away.

Having completed a deal for Youssouf Fofana with AS Monaco, Milan are now looking at trimming the squad by offloading players that are not deemed a part of Paulo Fonseca’s plans, and Ballo-Toure certainly falls into that category.

He arrived from Monaco to be the deputy to Theo Hernandez but never convinced, and last season he was sent out on loan to Fulham where he made virtually no impact, returning to Italy once the loan expired but not training with the first team.

According to Calciomercato.com, Ballo-Toure has already said no to joining Besiktas this summer, but a return to France could be on the cards. Milan are more than open to the sale of the Senegalese full-back and Saint-Etienne have come forward.

The player has said yes to the idea of joining them so what remains is to find a solution on an economic level over the transfer fee. In addition to that fee, Milan would save €2,676,062 next season when considering the amount of his amortisation plus his gross salary.
