Lucas Paqueta’s future could be far away from AC Milan. The Brazilian midfielder has failed to express his full potential with the Rossoneri, wasting several chances to prove his worth. Therefore, he’s now considered sellable.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, Benfica have joined the race for the 22-year-old. The Portuguese side are keeping tabs on the situation of Paqueta, who could soon become a serious target on the market.
In order to avoid making a loss, Milan have to collect at least €28m from the sale of the former Flamengo man. A swap deal between the clubs shouldn’t be excluded, as the Rossoneri are interested in 20-year-old Florentino Luis.
Milan tried to sign the midfielder already in January, but the price tag was too high in the end. For the time being, Paqueta is just an idea for Benfica, but it could become serious in the coming weeks.
