On the eve of Milan’s encounter with Fiorentina, there have been many reports on the potential starting XIs. Up until a few hours ago, the Rossoneri’s chosen eleven seemed pretty set in stone, but this has changed.
Following the training session this afternoon, Sky Italia (via MilanNews) reported that Ismael Bennacer is suffering from a minor muscle injury. As a result, he trained individually at Milanello with the medical staff, Daniele Longo added.
Now, Longo reports that the injury isn’t as serious as first thought, with optimism filtering from Milan. The Algerian should, therefore, be called up for the game against Fiorentina although it remains to be seen if he will start or not.
If he isn’t fully fit, then Sandro Tonali will step in just as he did mid-week against Lille, when Stefano Pioli decided to rest Bennacer. The game is scheduled for 15:00 and Milan will be looking to extend their lead at the top.
