CM: Training absence and denied rumours – Bennacer’s strange situation at Milan

Ismael Bennacer has become the subject of mystery as the midfielder has been absent from training with AC Milan but not due to an injury, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com speak of a ‘piece of news that could further change the dynamics of Milan’ in these final days of the transfer window, namely that Bennacer did not train at Milanello with the rest of the team for the third consecutive day.

Bennacer’s absence from training is not attributable to an injury. In a very delicate phase of the transfer market, the Algerian midfielder has probably made this decision because he already has his mind on a new professional adventure.

Al-Qadisiyya, Algerian sources say, are tempting Bennacer with a pharaonic salary of almost €20m per season (Ismael currently earns just over €4m at Milan), but then their director came out and denied any negotiations.

It seems that any Saudi club will have to convince Milan with an offer of around €30m, which is below the release clause of €50m in Bennacer’s deal.

In the event of a sale, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani would go after Manu Kone, who will leave Borussia Monchengladbach and has been admired for some time, since he was at Toulouse.
