Lucas Biglia is expected to start Saturday night’s derby against Inter over Ismael Bennacer, according to a report.
Milan will face their Nerazzurri neighbours at San Siro this weekend for the latest instalment of the historic rivalry.
The Rossoneri have started the season with two wins from their opening three games but face an Inter side which – under new boss Antonio Conte – have won all three games.
Bennacer arrived in the recent mercato from Empoli for a fee which could rise to €18million, but has so far started just one of the opening three Serie A fixtures.
On Wednesday, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via @teammilanac on Twitter) released their predicted starting XIs for the Derby della Madonnina, and they had Bennacer as the starter.
However, according to Calciomercato.com, Biglia is still favoured by head coach Marco Giampaolo to start the game against Inter due to his experience.
Bennacer meanwhile discussed his emotions heading into his first ever derby – plus his relationship with Biglia – in a recent interview with Sky Italia.
