Although Stefano Pioli has managed to turn things around at Milan, it most likely won’t be enough to reach the top-four zone and subsequently the Champions League. Therefore, rumours of potential replacements have started.
According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, speaking to Radio Rossonera, the Rossoneri have a basic agreement with Ralf Rangnick for the role as sporting director and manager. However, no contract has been signed yet by the parties.
Of course, should the German join the club, it would seriously affect Paolo Maldini and Zvone Boban, who are currently head of the technical department. According to Calciomercato.com, the two didn’t exactly take the news well either.
As the report states, they felt almost betrayed by the club for contacting Rangnick without their knowing. Furthermore, the news in the media left them offended, which is why reports of a poor environment between the directors are filtering from the club.
