CM: Boban in talks with entourage of Roma winger – why Stefano Pioli badly wants him

AC Milan are continuing to work on the signing of Cengiz Under from Roma, a report claims, as contacts with his entourage have been resumed.

The Turkey international got on the scoresheet for Roma during their win over Genoa on Sunday night as what seemed to be a cross drifted all the way to the far post and into the corner.

According to the latest from Caciomercato.com, Milan director Zvonomir Boban has had fresh talks with Under’s representatives, with the player pushing for a to move to the Rossoneri.

It cannot be excluded that the parties may meet in the next few hours to try and thrash out a deal that is currently more than just an idea.

The report adds that Stefano Pioli is keen on signing the 22-year-old as he fits into numerous formations such as the 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 (if more attacking).

Roma for their part have not closed the door on Boban, but are only willing to let Under leave if a good offer arrives due to Nicolo Zaniolo’s injury and the deal for Matteo Politano collapsing.

Suso’s card may end up on the table as the Spaniard is no longer part of Pioli’s plans, and Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is evaluating the prospect of having him in the squad.
