CM: Bologna potentially missing two key forwards for Milan clash

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan will be hosting Bologna in Serie A on Saturday night and the Rossoblu could have to do without two of their most important attacking players.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, Thiago Motta will be taking his side north to Milan without having Dan Ndoye at his disposal.

He has got a thigh problem which kept him out of the last three matches against Udinese, Genoa and Cagliari, and he is also expected to be absent against Milan.

Another player that Motta will likely need to do without is Milan loanee Alexis Saelemaekers. The Belgian arrived from Milan in the summer and has been important for Bologna, but he has a thigh strain as well.

He underwent seperate training today from the rest of the team and whilst he is not definitely ruled out of facing his former team, it seems unlikely that he will be on the pitch at this stage.

Bologna have only taken one point from their last three Serie A matches, all of which were against teams that they would be expected to beat given their great start to the season.

Milan have hit a good patch of form, though, and will be expected to take all three points on Saturday night.

    1. Ha – I actually didn’t mind him. He’s got potential but overall a pretty frustrating player. But not as bad as, someone like Cerci for example.

      1. Saelemaekers is better than Loftus’s check in the attacking face, even as a defensive, team player, and more creative, he hardly loses the ball…. I wish to see him back in the team. Very flexible, sharp, can run, good shooting with both legs with more room to grow. Just because he speaks up Pioli decided to force him out of the team.

    2. Still, I’m glad if he’s not there. Revenge games have odd effects on players. He would have extra motivation to perform.
