CM: Bonaventura’s will is clear amid expiring contract; AC Milan are waiting

By Isak Möller -

The long injury didn’t take his qualities. Giacomo Bonaventura has once again convinced AC Milan, having recently recovered from his knee struggles. Two goals in the last three games, in addition to brilliant performances.

The no.5 has found himself again, following a tough period of recovery. Now the winger can look forward to the future with Milan. However, his contract expires in the summer, which forced the Rossoneri to act.

According to Calciomercato.com, the player has expressed two wishes: he wants to renew the contract and he wants to do it before February. Why the deadline? At the start of February, he will be allowed to negotiate pre-agreements with other clubs.

Bonaventura doesn’t want to be in this position, as the report continues, hence his wish. Therefore, the former Atalanta man expects a concrete offer from the club in the coming weeks, since it hasn’t arrived yet.

Most likely, Milan will enter the heart of the matter in January, per the report. The Rossoneri are satisfied with the player’s physical condition, which they needed to evaluate after such a long and serious injury.

The only unknown factor is the agent, Mino Raiola, as he must be convinced too. Although relations are currently good, you can never fully count on the agent, who represents several Milan players.
