CM: Brandt idea emerges in Leao talks – he is a technical and economic match for Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Julian Brandt is the latest name to enter the orbit of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in their search for a new playmaker, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports that many names are written in the notebook of Maldini and Massara as they search for the ideal attacking midfielder from both a technical-tactical aspect but also from an economic compatibility point of view.

Julian Brandt is also one of the players who can fall into this category of opportunities, and some talks have already been held. In the past few weeks when the German club enquired about Rafael Leao, there was also talk of Brandt’s future.

The German international is linked to BVB until June 2024 and at the age of 25 he would like to have a more central role in their team. Last season he started just 17 times in the Bundesliga and twice in the Champions League and would like to know his prospects after Marco Rose’s arrival on the bench.

Lazio have also shown interest in him, and they offered a paid loan with option to buy that did not particularly entice Borussia Dortmund. With this same formula Milan are also willing to present an offer, and they have the added attraction of Champions League football.
