AC Milan’s approach is clear: they will rely on youth as the imminent revolution will be led by Ralf Rangnick. Therefore, it’s no coincidence that the Rossoneri management are probing young players on the market.
According to Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini met Hertha Berlin starlet Lazar Samardzic in January, trying to convince him to join the Rossoneri. The 18-year-old is considered a star for the future, having already made his debut in the Bundesliga.
The contacts continued a few weeks after the meeting without any success. The attacking midfielder is keen on remaining in Germany to continue his progress, rejecting not just Milan but also Barcelona and an offer from a top Premier League club.
That said, the Rossoneri are not ready to give up and with the arrival of Rangnick, it could be a perfect addition to the squad. However, for the time being, Samardzic is only thinking about his growth.
