There has been a lot of speculation recently about the future of Davide Calabria including rumours that AS Roma are keen on him, and now a report has provided some clarity on things.
According to Calciomercato.com, Paulo Fonseca is working on some tactical concepts that are different from the work done by his predecessor Stefano Pioli. Among the new features there is also a return to the old: the full-backs will no longer play infield and instead will stay wide and push up.
The first to receive the new directives was the captain Calabria, while waiting for Emerson Royal to arrive. Milan have in fact decided to sign another player in his role, something that raises many more doubts about the future of the youth sector graduate.

I would say that Calabria might wanna take Henderson as a gold standard. Was the captain and a sub, did many dirty defensive work for Liverpool and that’s what Calabria needs to do. play as 2nd choice on both flanks and come on the field if we need to lock opponents winger. Those games he would go deeper and do what he does best, which is 1v1 defending.
