CM: Calabria the newest to join the treatment table at Milan – the latest on his condition

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has further injury worries to juggle as Davide Calabria is the latest player on the treatment table.

Calciomercato.com reports that – in addition to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Tiemoué Bakayoko and Olivier Giroud who has been stopped by lower back pain – the Rossoneri will have to do without David Calabria for the trip to Turin to face rivals Juventus.

The report claims that Calabria sustained a problem in training yesterday and underwent tests to understand the extent of the problem. These checks showed an elongation of the flexor muscles in his right thigh, a problem that will certainly keep him in the pits for tomorrow’s game and that will be reassessed in the coming days.

Alessandro Florenzi is expected to get the chance to fill in for his compatriot at right-back and he could have more playing time over the coming games if Calabria’s injury is complicated.
