CM: Camarda to renew with Milan in July – the details and the background

By Oliver Fisher -

There are few 16 year olds what are attracting as much attention as Francesco Camarda in world football, and the striker is reportedly set to commit his future to AC Milan.

Calciomercato.com begin their latest update with a statement: ‘The future of Milan is called Francesco Camarda’. The teenager, who scored a great goal yesterday for Italy at the U17 European Championship against Slovakia, will soon sign his first professional contract with the Rossoneri.

The agreement will only come into force from July 1st but the official announcement should come much earlier than that. By bringing the deal into effect from July it means he can sign for an extra year.

There is already a verbal agreement between Milan and Camarda’s entourage, now the final details need to be ironed out. The centre-forward will sign a three-year contract with a sizeable pay rise and will be added to the U23 team that they are planning to register for next season.

Camarda has always put Milan at the top of his wishes for the future. In recent days there has been a new attempt by Borussia Dortmund but it was too late. Camarda wants to continue his path at the club that welcomed him when he was just a child, the team of his heart.

    1. How is that because kessie kept dragging his contract negotiations out for probably over a year while increasing his demands. Camarda hasnt been able to sign a contract with us untill march 10 when he turned 16 and had we signed him then we would only havebeen allowed to sign him on a 2 year contract. When his contract is officially signed july first or in the start of that month he will sign a 3 year contract.
Hardly sounds anything like kessie bamboozling ac milan.

      1. What I don’t understand is why can’t we just sign the kid for 2 year contact first, to tie him up and attaching it with some kind of option/obligation to sign that 3 year extention comes July. Maybe it’s a hassle, or maybe there are some kind of restriction that disallow this kind of contract, I don’t know – but it’s just weird to me and if anyone could shine a light to it, that’d be much appreciated.

Hopefully he signs though – been a while since we have an exciting prospect after Gigio.

        1. there is a restiction had we signed him then it would only be allowed to be a two year contract so its fairly simple. If the player wanted to leave he could anyways just say no in march so it shouldnt really matter much and i doubt its allowed to add a 3 year as an option. As i said in another camarda article i think its to protect the young players.
At least camarda is born in milano, gigio on the other hand was a snake down from napoli who only cheered on milan because his brother had been there before his arrival so i wouldnt really worry currently.

        2. Its not as easy as that. He has an agent who look after his parents interest for now. Before he can speak for himself

  1. Then don’t just leave him at the bench..!! All great player start at very young age because their manager also fans support and believe in them!!
