CM: Cardinale’s visit and Barcelona friendly – Milan relaunch again for Fofana

Gerry Cardinale is back in Milan to help see the team into the new season and his arrival could have a decisive impact on the pursuit of Youssouf Fofana.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, there is a lot on the agenda for the American-Italian businessman and the fans will be most intrigued to see if he can help to secure a deal for the AS Monaco midfielder.

The primary reason for the timing of this trip to Milan is the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy match against Monza on Tuesday night which Cardinale will be attending.

That is not all though, as he will also meet Paulo Fonseca and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Milanello for an update on the general running of the team, as well as getting transfer updates from Casa Milan as the window moves into its final couple of weeks.

The club are expected to intensify their pursuit of the French midfielder in the coming days and having Cardinale in the building will speed up the process of launching a new bid.

Fofana has made it clear to Monaco that he would like to join Milan and the Ligue 1 side has left him out of the Joan Gamper Trophy team to face Barcelona.

  1. Fofana, Ricci next

We need upgrades over Adli and Pobega as fast as possible. If we really are dropping out of ST race, I would just use those funds to complete midfield as well. Leaving Bennacer replacement and ST for next year and if someone else from the squad leaves

  2. A man can dream but….

    Oshimen?
    … and hear me out…

I get it… (insert all the reasons why not here)

But for real… he is not training with Napoli, and no one wants to front the money to get him… maybe a loan deal with Milan?

    Like I said, fan fiction

    1. Honestly I was thinking that this morning. Conte is so desperate for Lukaku to join I could see them letting Osimhen go for, say 50m? Too bad we signed Morata so it’ll never happen

      1. It won’t happen because Oshimen costs 70M + – and not because we signed Morata

Redbird will ‘ NOT spend more than 20M ON ANY PLAYER

  3. Inter officially extended Lautaro until 2029 with 9 millions + bonuses salary per season.

And us? Hoping someone will come with coffers full of greens by the end of mercato for either Theo or Mike.

      1. First and foremost is this how low supposed Ac milan fans are wishing the financial downfall of Inter?

The last thing the league and indeed Ac milan need is for Inter to go the same way as ourselves.

As for FFP please explain how Barcelona are in debt to the tune of over a billion euros and not only paying over 50 mill for players and putting coaching staff on over 12 million a year but also are still allowed to participate in the UCL? that’s before we get to the likes of Psg.

I think more questions should be asked with regards to our financial situation which supposedly is healthy however we can’t exceed 20 million for average talent from Monaco plus the fact we still have Elliot hedge fund involved who Redbird still owe to the tune of over 600 million.

Berlusconi never agreed with hating and wishing the down fall of other teams including Inter.

    1. Inter buys and sells players. They have made money in the market while a certain team is down 300M+ over 5 years. They also aren’t on probation for breaking fair play rules.
