CM: Chelsea midfielder changes agent – Serie A return possible with Milan linked

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei ended up remaining despite summer exit links, but a change in agent could hint at a January return to Italy with AC Milan mentioned as suitors.

Calciomercato.com report that there are many situations which remain unresolved after the transfer window which for most clubs slammed shut on Friday. This is the case of those players who wanted to move, gave a mandate to their agents and ended up remaining at their current club.

These players are often on the fringes of the project and will now willingly try to find new accommodation in view of the January transfer market, which applies to Casadei. The midfielder remained at Chelsea after a long summer of negotiations that never materialised, and has officially chosen to change agent.

The news was revealed just a few hours ago by the Epic Sport agency, which has Francesco Facchinetti as the most media-exposed face in Italy. Epic have excellent relations with Chelsea, who they helped sell Romelu Lukaku to Napoli (together with agent Pastorello).

Not only this, but they had a hand in the the signings of Moises Caicedo, Filip Jorgensen and Nicolas Jackson, as well as the sale of Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid in the Joao Felix deal. In short, the move to Epic Sport could also mean a facilitated transfer.

In the headline of the piece it mentions that Casadei – who was in Inter’s academy but moved to London for €20m including bonuses (as per Wiki) – could return to Serie A in January, with Milan and Juventus mentioned specifically.

Casadei has previously named Kaka, Ronaldinho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek as his three idols, all of whom have a strong connection to Milan for obvious reasons.

  1. Chelsea had 7 different managers in the first 62 years, and 38 managers in the last 62 years.
The present manager is not up to the job, and the owner, is a fool.
Bring back Abramovic and make John Terry the coach.

  2. How can you have 3 idols? How can these 3 be mentioned in one sentence? Kaka, Ronaldinho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. I think he wants a move to Milan.

    1. One name doesn’t belong with the other two, but since he mentioned him it is an obvious sign that he is eyeing Milan. It’s like a nice gesture before he snatches that 10 spot from him lol. I like RLC, but he needs to offer more than carrying the ball then drawing a foul a couple times a match then going anonymous for the rest of the match. Ughh I’m tired of trying to dissect why we suck so much this season. I hope the international break does something magical and they come back a different team or this season could spiral away before we know it. We have to win the next match and carry some confidence plus momentum into the Liverpool game after that or it could be a very embarrassing match

  3. This is such a stupid situation that sums up the problems with modern football, so many good players perfectly capable who just won’t see a minute of first team football. Many midtable teams would benefit from a Casadei (I don’t think he’d be immediately useful to a Milan that already has a lot of CMs).

If Chelsea won’t play him he should be able to go somewhere else.

There should be some rule that says that players who haven’t been registered for competitions for their clubs have to be loaned out with the parent club paying the wages. And yes, that goes for our outcasts like Origi and Ballo Touré too.

  4. Come on now. I have said all summer that Milan should buy him and Kayode and now the links start when the transfer market is closed

  5. I like him alot but he might be a better player in a Atalanta team. Regardless of the team he joins in Serie A, I’m sure he will do well

  6. won’t happen, he’s Italian.
if Berlusconi/ Carletto/ Maldini still here, at least we’ll get cheap Chiesa, Osimhen & Kessie (considering their current situation) why?
bcs they can & bcs team needed.
take Z (twice) & Theo as example, they were in better club & better salary but they came just bcs this is Milan!

  7. Wouldn’t getting an Italian fight against the Moncada-policy? His goal is to get rid of the Italians, not get more of them.

I call this #fakenews with 0.00000% chance of ever realizing. Move along, nothing to see here.
