CM: Chelsea, PSG and Juventus watch on as Milan ponder ‘constant doubts’ over star man

AC Milan are once again at a crossroads regarding the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims, but there is no rush regarding the crucial talks.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are ‘constant doubts’ in the Rossoneri camp about the future of Donnarumma, but there is not much urgency to resolve the situation just yet as other topics – such as Alessio Romagnoli’s renewal – are being discussed first.

CEO Ivan Gazidisis pushing to find a solution regarding Gigio this summer so as to avoid the risk of losing him for free, but it will need both an adequate salary (he currently earns €6m-a-year) and guarantees over the new project in order to agree a renewal.

Clubs such as PSG, Chelsea and Juventus are monitoring the situation but have not taken any concrete steps, but the feeling is that Donnarumma’s future will be hugely indicative of the future of the club and their stubbornness regarding a salary ceiling.

Donnarumma is one of the last few remaining Milan symbols from the last few years along with Romagnoli, and with the farewells at managerial level of Gattuso last summer, Boban in March and possibly Maldini, another key figure could depart.
