CM: Door left open for Milan to sign Serbian midfielder as Lazio’s plans change

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s chances of signing Ivan Ilic from Hellas Verona are not completely dead yet because Lazio have changed their plans, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com report how things seemed to be moving towards a situation where Luis Alberto joined Sevilla and then Lazio would move for Ilic, but in the end Sevilla landed Isco on a free from Real Madrid and Luis Alberto found himself with nowhere to go.

The current feeling is that Maurizio Sarri’s midfield rotation is complete with Milinkovic-Savic, Basic, Vecino and Luis Alberto and that is why there is no room for Ilic as things stand at the moment.

That leaves the door open for Milan to move for the Serbian midfielder and the Rossoneri management asked for information about Ilic via the player’s entourage. There is also the interest of some Bundesliga clubs and in a couple of days there could be news about a potential exit for the former Manchester City man.

    1. Neither was Leao on Saturday…it appears as if players sometimes have bad days…could it be?? No, no way, how would that possible 🤔

  1. Maybe we should get him on a loan with option and spend the remaining budget on Ndcka (keeps deleting my comments thinking I’m saying d**k) 😂
