By Isak Möller -

As Milan haven’t signed a new striker, opting to scrap that idea, Lorenzo Colombo has had the chance to show his qualities. So far, he has impressed everyone and even managed to get on target against Monza and Vicenza.

In fact, the 18-year-old is expected to be the backup for Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season, having been promoted from the youth ranks. His talent is certainly undeniable and several clubs have shown their interest for him in the past.

According to Calciomercato.com, before he signed his renewal with Milan, multiple English clubs and more than ten Serie B clubs were monitoring his situation. The new contract was signed in June and will keep him at the club until 2024.

In addition to the clubs mentioned above, Borrusia Dirtmuynd have also followed the youngster on his path to the first team. This option, however, was more remote and Colombo decided to stay at Milan, who have a very specific plan in place.
