CM: Emerson is still a target for Milan but Tottenham demand a higher fee

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have not forgotten about Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal but the Rossoneri are finding it hard to reach an agreement with the Premier League side.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan have continued to work on the Emerson deal alongside moves for players like Stranhinja Pavlovic, Youssouf Fofana and Lazar Samardzic in recent weeks.

Milan have already made concrete attempts to sign the Brazilian full-back this summer, having offered just over €10m between the fixed part and bonuses at the start of the month.

That was unsuccessful, and Tottenham have said that they want €20m for the former Barcelona player given he has a contract that runs for another two seasons.

Clearly there is a very big gap between the two clubs when it comes to Emerson’s negotiations, but Milan have not been scared away and feel that Ange Postecoglou’s side will soften their stance as the summer progresses.

The negotiation with Tottenham is the hard part, as Milan already have a contract agreement in place with Emerson.

A five-year contract (or four-year contract with the option for a further season) worth €3m net per season is ready, once the Rossoneri and Tottenham can come to an agreement on the transfer fee.

  1. Can someone buy this log of a player so we can stop being linked with him? Oh, wait. Other clubs want players that actually can contribute something

  2. I really don’t get it. I thought the strategy was to buy mediocre cheap players like morata, not actually really bad players like this guy.

  3. Yes heres hoping man utd come along and say they want him…. waste of time and money pursueing this transfer.

  4. I simply give up on this fuc…. milan management – they are incompetent, stupid, ridiculous, idiots, fools, clowns, ignorant, clumsy, disgusting, misers, brainless, simple-minded, slow-witted, dull …..
CAN ANYONE PLEASE ADD MORE TRUTHS ABOUT THESE CLOWNS WHO ARE DESTROYING MILAN’S REPUTATION WORLDWIDE?
