CM: Everton Soares picks Milan as preferred destination; January bid expected

Everton Soares has picked AC Milan as the destination he would most like to end up in Europe, a report claims.

The Rossoneri were linked with a move for the Brazilian when Leonardo was sporting director, but the track went cold after his departure in May.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio told Sky Italia (cited by MilanNews.it) that Milan were looking at Everton as a potential alternative to Angel Correa of Atletico Madrid.

Then, Calciomercato.com confirmed that Milan did indeed make an attempt late in the window to try and sign the 23-year-old late in the window, and that their pursuit is ‘not over’.

According to an update from the same outletEverton has made it clear that he wants to play in Europe, and has even put Milan at the top of the list of preferences in terms of his next club.

In addition, the outlet states that the Rossoneri will make a new attempt for the forward, but the complicated ownership situation surrounding the player will present an obstacle.
