AC Milan are showing an interest in Scottish midfielder Lewis Ferguson which makes him the third individual at Bologna to be linked with a move to the Rossoneri.
Milan have looked very serious about signing Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, and reports have also claimed that coach Thiago Motta could become the replacement for Stefano Pioli come the end of the season.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are very impressed by Ferguson’s form this season, as the Scot has got six goals and four assists in 27 games and is one of the most in-form midfielders in Europe.
Milan are certainly not the only team to have noticed this, as Premier League sides Fulham and Nottingham Forest have already made contact over a move.
It is thought that around €20m will be enough for Bologna to think about a sale, but with the Premier League side, Milan, Atalanta, Juventus and Napoli all being linked, the price would presumably rise.
Having shown an interest in taking Zirkzee with him to another club, the movements of Motta in the summer could be key to Ferguson as well. The player and coach have been very complimentary to one another this season and may wish to continue working together.
This has shades of when we raided Udinese for their coach and two of their best players after they finished 3rd.
We might try to pry several figures away from them but I dont think it will easy as the club seems adamant about trying to keep as many or maybe even a fully intact team as much as possible. They have in fact said that and even though bologna might be a minor compared to AC Milans history they are nevertheless a shared 5 most wining club ever in serie a and if they doesn’t try to build on this current seasons succes they might not get that chance again for decades to come. Unless we actually throws some serious cash toward both players i doubt we will be able to get 2 of them unless the players starts to cause the club issues by demanding to be sold. 1 maybe but neither wont come cheap.
Do it, sell Maldini for a few quid and then spend 5 to 10 times that amount to play this guy.
