CM: Fiorentina want €30m from sale of defender – Milan, Man Utd and West Ham interested

AC Milan are among the teams that have expressed an interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic amid his uncertain contract situation, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Fiorentina will be forced to sell Milenkovic in the summer and hope to collect around €30m from his sale. That is because his contract is expiring in 2022, and with no renewal in sight La Viola want to avoid the risk of losing a prized young asset for free next year.

Two Premier League clubs have taken steps with the Serbia international’s entourage, showing interest and asking for information. The teams in question are Manchester United – looking for a young centre-back – and West Ham who are ambitious and ready to compete at a high level again after a good season. Everton and Tottenham are also evaluating the 23-year-old but have not yet taken any steps.

There are two Italian clubs most interested: Inter and Milan. For both, however, there are problems of an economic nature as the Nerazzurri must cut costs and make some sacrifices on the market, while the Rossoneri still have to understand what competition they will play in next season, must make precise choices as the budget to reinforce the squad will not be unlimited.

Moreover, Fikayo Tomori’s permanent purchase would cost €28m, and it seems he is a priority. Milenkovic has his suitcases in his hand, with the Premier League looking like the most likely destination.
