CM: Five departures to make room for four new signings – Maldini and Massara’s plan

AC Milan’s mercato is constantly moving and the plan is to complete five exits to ultimately create the room for a number of new arrivals.

Calciomercato.com report how the first two to leave were Franck Kessie and Alessio Romagnoli whose contracts expired at the end of the season and they decided to try new experiences at Barcelona and Lazio respectively.

In terms of actual sales meanwhile, Samu Castillejo joined Gennaro Gattuso in Valencia, while Daniel Maldini is one step away from moving on loan to Hellas Verona, and Tiemoué Bakayoko is also set to depart with Valencia and Marseille keen.

They will certainly be joined by Mattia Caldara, who has returned from his loan at Venezia and is about to sign with Spezia. Matteo Gabbia is strongly wanted by Sampdoria, while Frank Tsadjout to Cremonese should happen soon too.

The idea is to free wages and raise some cash to fund signings. Charles De Keteleare is currently expected to sign from Club Brugge and important updates should arrive in the next few hours, while Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea and Renato Sanches of Lille remain targets.

Finally, a centre-back will be needed with Japhet Tanganga of Spurs and Abdou Diallo of PSG the first options. The goal is to defend the Scudetto and go further in Europe, so a better squad is needed.
