CM: Four strikers Milan could possibly evaluate in January – Dovbyk to Zirkzee

AC Milan might have to reinforce their attack in the January transfer window, still waiting on the first goal from their strikers, and there are some names they could make a move for.

Yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Pisa certainly highlighted Milan’s lack of an in-form striker. Santiago Gimenez started alongside Rafael Leao in attack but, truth be told, we barely saw anything from the Mexican. This was also reflected in the player ratings.

As such, Gimenez is still on zero goals in Serie A this season and the same can be said for Christopher Nkunku, even if he hasn’t played as much. In any case, the Milan management might have to secure a reinforcement for the attack in January.

Names to consider

According to Calciomercato.com earlier today, taking stock of the situation in attack, there are a few ‘ready’ names that Milan perhaps could take a look at in January: Artem Dovbyk (Roma), Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus), Joshua Zirkzee (Man Utd) and Serhou Guirassy (Dortmund).

The latter seems very unlikely, as he has started the season well with Dortmund, but the others are certainly doable. Dovbyk has been struggling to get things going at Roma, while Vlahovic’s contract will expire in the summer, so Juve might want to avoid a free transfer.

As for Zirkzee, he could potentially be available on a loan after playing just 82 minutes with Man Utd this season so far. Matteo Moretto stated on Saturday morning that Milan could indeed reinforce the attack in January, so it’s worth keeping an eye on potential targets.

  1. Serhou Guirassy is the only one to be considered, all the others NO thank you

The duo we have are better, just the matter of time before they come alive

    1. agree 100% for one sure factor. He is a classic striker and pure poacher. Milan needs someone can act lethally in front of goal

  2. Of course we’ll bring in Zirkzee. Because we don’t need him at all. Same as Nkunku. The fact that he hasn’t been in form for years doesn’t matter now.

  3. If we are going to be precise and objective,Zirkzee would be the best option, he now realises Man U was a mistake, and he will want redemption, he is a very intelligent player, who knows how to play with others, he and Leao will form a perfect attack…

    1. You can be that, I choose to base my opinion on facts and performance, ki d of what a credit card does before they lend you money.

Serhou Guirassy is anytime anywhere better then Zirkzee. We were stupid not to buy him when we wanted to do so.

What you descriebed precisely and objectively is Nkunku, we dont need another one. We need olain simoke Pipo

  4. Please remove Artem Dovbyk (Roma) and Joshua Zirkzee (Man Utd) from the List. We dont need player’s that are struggling. Keith

  5. let me guess, the striker we sign will:
    not be particularly fast
    not a good dribbler
not able to hold up the ball and occupy defenders
not able to shoot from distance

just like Pazzini, Torres, Matri, Destro, Luiz Adriano, Lapadula, Andre Silva, Kalinic, Piatek, Higuain, Origi, Jovic, Gimenez

I love Giroud but even he had major limitations

they NEVER learn. Even considering Dovbyk shows that they don’t have eyes.
