AC Milan could launch a fresh summer assault for Watford star Gerard Deulofeu, according to the latest reports.
The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a summer move for a winger just as they were in January – when the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Yannick Carrasco were mentioned as targets.
One name that refuses to go away though is that of Deulofeu, who spent the second-half of the 2016-17 season on loan at San Siro from Everton.
He impressed during that spell, scoring four goals and amassing three assists in 17 Serie A appearances – and rumours of a return to Milan have never been far away.
The player himself has repeatedly hinted at being open to a reunion, calling it the happiest time of his career so far.
Now, Calciomercato.com provide an update on Deulofeu’s situation, claiming that he has already made it known to the Pozzo family who own Watford that he intends to change clubs this summer.
The report suggests that a summer move could cost €30million and would depend almost entirely on Champions League qualification (or lack thereof). Still, a fresh pursuit is described as ‘just a matter of time’.
