CM: From Jovic and Boadu to a new RW – Ibrahimovic’s renewal changes Milan’s plans

There is optimism on the part of AC Milan that they will soon be able to announce Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s renewal, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, contacts between the parties are continuing in search of a definitive agreement. This means both from an economic point of view, because Ibrahimovic believes that he deserves a top salary, and from a sporting point of view as the Swede wants guarantees regarding the club’s top four ambitions.

The 38-year-old striker expects a transfer campaign to match his ambitions, so Maldini and Massara will be tasked with strengthening the attacking department.

A big investment will not be made on another centre-forward, meaning that while Luka Jovic remains a welcome name, the lack of discounts from Real Madrid and the pressure of Monaco means he is unlikely to arrive.

Names such as AZ Alkmaar’s Myron Boadu also become less viable if Ibra stays. The alternative priority therefore is to sign a new right winger.
