The future of Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic remains a mystery with three top clubs interested in signing him, a report claims.
Milenkovic is currently under contract with La Viola until 2022 but after another disappointing season for the Florence club, there is speculation that he could move on in the summer in order to make the leap to a club who will compete for trophies.
Fiorentina have also been left in a situation where they must either secure the renewal of the Serbia international or sell him when the window reopens so as to avoid the risk of losing him on a free next year.
As Calciomercato.com writes, Milenkovic gave an interview to the official channels of the club during which he praised them for their role in helping him develop as a young defender.
“Here at Fiorentina I became a man. Fiorentina welcomed me from day one as if I had always been here and made me grow a lot. I feel a lot grown both mentally and as a footballer,” he said.
Despite those words, Milenkovic’s future ‘remains a puzzle’ as per the report as the 23-year-old is a market target for Inter, Milan and Manchester United.
