AC Milan are likely to stick with a 4-3-1-2 formation against Brescia on Saturday, according to the latest reports.
The Rossoneri failed to register a single shot on target against Udinese on Sunday, and Marco Giampaolo’s interview with Sky Italia after the game (via Football Italia) sparked rumours that the 4-3-1-2 system would be scrapped.
Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport stated that Milan could change to a 4-3-2-1 ‘Christmas tree’ formation, with Suso and Giacomo Bonaventura in behind Krzysztof Piatek.
A midfield three of Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer and Lucas Paqueta was anticipated by the newspaper, however Giampaolo told reporters in his pre-Brescia presser that his ‘philosophy will not change’.
Now, journalist Daniele Longo has suggested that Giampaolo will indeed stick with the 4-3-1-2, and Samu Castillejo will keep his place in the starting XI.
Lucas Paqueta would be dropped in place of Hakan Calhanoglu, but Kessie and Bennacer are set to start.
