CM.it: Milan and Juventus keen on landing striker Arsenal paid €53m for

AC Milan and Juventus are among the clubs interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal on a free transfer, a report claims.

The French striker has a contract expiring next June which is unlikely to be renewed, becuase Arsenal’s struggles are pushing the player to try a new adventure. Given he is now 30 years of age, he wants a club competing for trophies, and the Gunners seem a way off that.

Calciomercato.it reports that in recent days his name has been strongly linked to LaLiga, with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla ready to bring him to Spain, but there are two top Italian teams that want to convince him to try Serie A.

Juventus are in search of another striker and Lacazette could become an idea for the January window in what would be a cut-price deal. However, Milan are also in the running, knowing that they may need to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic who will soon turn 40.

The two Serie A giants have an advantage too in the form of the Growth Decree tax relief scheme, which essentially secures a 50% saving on the gross tax that the club would pay.

The Frenchman was a club-record signing in 2017 for the North London club at €53m, but now he seems destined to leave for nothing.
