CM.it: Milan and Napoli watching closely as agent of Hellas Verona star opens door for exit

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are monitoring the situation surrounding Hellas Verona star Mattia Zaccagni carefully as his agent has made an interesting declaration.

Several sources have reported over the last few weeks that the 25-year-old is attracting interest from some big clubs in Serie A as the playmaker has contributed four goals and four assists in 18 Serie A appearances so far this season.

It was claimed by Calciomercato.com earlier in the month that the Rossoneri have started negotiations with Verona for Zaccagni, who has a valuation of €15m, and that he could be signed and loaned back to Verona until the end of the season.

Now, Calciomercato.it have provided an update by stating that contacts between Napoli and Verona are continuing over Zaccagni, who would arrive during the summer window and not this month.

Interestingly, they add that Milan too are watching Zaccagni carefully and could launch their own assault, while the player’s agent – Tullio Tinti – has seemingly confirmed a June switch is on the cards.

“I believe that in the June session he will certainly change team, because he is Hellas Verona no longer in a position to keep him. I am sure he will find space in one of the great Italian teams,” he told Radio Rai, as per the report.
