CM.it: Milan consider offering playmaker as part of deal to land Inter outcast Eriksen – the details

AC Milan are considering offering Hakan Calhanoglu in a swap deal to land out-of-favour Inter playmaker Christian Eriksen, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.it, Eriksen’s departure from Inter just a year after joining from Spurs is a very realistic possibility. He is not finding any space under Antonio Conte who seems to have decided that Nicolo Barella is a better fit in the playmaker role.

There is no shortage of suitors for Eriksen, and chief among these is AC Milan. The Rossoneri are struggling with the renewal of their own playmaker in Hakan Calhanoglu, and an agreement between the parties remains far away at the moment.

The Turkish international is on a contract which is due to expire in June and the management could think of including him in the negotiations to bring Eriksen across the city divide.

An equal exchange is what Paolo Maldini and co. have in mind, but Inter do not agree. In fact, Marotta values Eriksen at no less than €30million and therefore would expect a cash sum of around €20-22m, due to the reduced true value of Calhanoglu because of his contract situation.
