CM.it: Milan looking to beat Ajax, Arsenal and PSG to €50m striker – the club’s recent message

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reiterated to the entourage of Sao Paulo star Brenner that they are big admirers of the young striker.

Calciomercato.it first linked Milan with the 20-year-old back in November, adding that Arsenal, Ajax, Juventus, Lazio and PSG are all also keen, with the latter having been following him for some time now.

The Brazilian portal UOL Esporte (via CM.it) reported recently that the team in pole position for the acquisition of Brenner is Ajax. They added that his contract has a €50m release clause but is expiring in 2022 which could reduce his price tag. The report confirmed Milan and Juve’s interest, too.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Milan management recently reiterated that they greatly appreciate the Brazilian striker, but Ajax are competing and want to sign another player from Sao Paulo after Antony and David Neres.

They are asking for at least €20-22m for the 20-year-old and would like to postpone the sale until next summer, given that the Brazilian season will end in late February. This is a situation that could favour Maldini and Massara, who could well have a budget replenished by qualification for the next Champions League.

He also has an EU passport which is great news for the pursuit, but Arsenal and PSG are also on his trail, the report concludes.
