CM.it: Milan pushing to land Real Madrid striker with meetings planned – player warming to move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing to close the signing of Luka Jovic from Real Madrid and the striker’s will could be key, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it claim that Milan have been on the trail of Jovic of for some time. The Serbia international was a real target over the summer and has remained in the last few months, with ongoing contacts between the management and his agent Fali Ramadani.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury has not changed the club’s plans apart from that Jovic is now a target that Milan now pursues with greater intensity. Yesterday’s victory over Sassuolo showed that the group firmly believes in the possibility of fighting for the Scudetto and the club, even without a large budget, wants to try to make quality players available to Pioli.

The Rossoneri want to bring the 22-year-old to Milan on loan with option to buy and while the player does not have the trust of Zidane at the moment, Real still do not want to sell Jovic.

The report adds that sources close to the player have confirmed there are meetings planned for the next few days that could bring the positions closer, also because the idea of a move to Milan is appealling to the player.

This is the reason that reinforces the feeling that Milan may have a good chance to try to close the deal.
