CM.it: Milan reignite pursuit of former Barcelona winger – the details

By Ben Dixon -

In recent years, AC Milan have a great record when buying talent from Spain – such as Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz – and they might look to add to their successes this summer.

The upcoming summer mercato is likely to be exciting, with Milan looking to strengthen several areas and invest in future talents. In an ideal world, the investments go hand in hand with signing young talents who instantly improve the squad.

Calciomercato.it reported that the Rossoneri might pursue former target Ez Abde, the former Barcelona winger who now plays for Real Betis. The Morrocan winger has intrigued the club a lot in recent times, and last summer, he was linked with a move to Milano.

However, he chose Betis instead of the Diavolo due to the opportunity for more playing time. This has not been the case for the young winger, though – he has only started in five of his 32 appearances for the club, but he still has a good return, scoring five goals.

As a result, there is a concrete possibility that he will be sold in the summer. He arrived at the club for €7.5 million, so they will be looking to get a return on their investment, but with Barcelona getting 50% of the sale, it is unknown what the mark-up to profit might be.

Milan already know about his talent from their previous scouting of him, so there is a chance that a move could be made in the upcoming window. Additionally, given the persistent interest in Rafael Leao, the Rossoneri could be looking to find his heir early on.
