CM.it: Milan want Fiorentina captain valued at less than €20m as duo could leave

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could reignite their interest in Fiorentina centre-back German Pezzella this summer, a report claims, with Stefano Pioli a fan of the player.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Rossoneri are looking for reinforcements in defence having made Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte available.

The former will be out until November with an injury, something which may make him difficult to sell, but the latter could leave on loan in order to get more playing time under his belt.

The report adds that German Pezzella is a name that could come back into fashion for Milan should the aforementioned duo leave. Pioli could prove to be decisive in this sense, given that the former Fiorentina coach greatly appreciates the current Viola captain.

Valued at €20million in the summer of 2019, the 29-year-old can leave for a lower amount due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the transfer market, making him a lot cheaper than Nikola Milenkovic who has also been linked.
