CM: January attempt ruled out as Milan are willing to risk it for Marseille star

It’s not exactly a secret that AC Milan are scanning the market for a midfielder, as the contract situation of Franck Kessie remains complicated. The parties are yet to reach an agreement and the Rossoneri might have to replace him.

In recent months, Milan have been linked with Marseille star Boubacar Kamara, whose contract with the French side will expire at the end of the season. The 21-year-old can also play as a centre-back and has attracted the interest of many teams.

According to Calciomercato.com, Marseille don’t want to lose the midfielder for free and are thus willing to part ways in a cut-price deal in January. However, as Kessie won’t leave until the end of the season, a winter attempt is to be ruled out for Milan.

Regardless of the renewal situation, the Rossoneri intend to keep the Ivorian for the remainder of the season. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara remain in contact with Kamara’s agent and an attempt in the spring is more feasible, but then they risk losing out to a Premier League side.
